Grinding
The manufacture of precision optics requires multiple grinding steps. Grinding machines can be equipped with different spindle configurations to support the customer specific process flow. Aselsan Sivas’s spindle systems range from mechanical to air bearing based systems utilizing different spindle speeds.
Polishing
Optical polishing is a fabrication technique widely adopted for the manufacturing process of high precision mechanical and optical components where there is a demand for minimal defects and smooth micro-roughness values.
Centering
Centering machines are characterized by high process flexibility with a wide working range from 5 to 300 mm. Spherical lenses can be clamped using Sivas Optic’s well established bell clamping technology allowing precise positioning without harming the lens.
